What else? Well, I mentioned Russia in yesterday's post. I'm going there to learn russian for a full school year. It's a sort of student-exchange program where I get all costs paid for me. The trip, all the shots I have to take gets refunded, I get a monthly allowance and I'm living with a host-family so I'm not paying any rent either. I'm living with a mother and her two daughters in their apartment. The daughters are 15 and 18. Now,
Mary has misunderstood a whole lot about this trip I'm having (she's not quite 100% up there, you know?), she thinks that I'm living with prostitutes, and that the 18 year old is studying to become a whorefashiondesigner (if there is such a term). ALL WRONG! The mother is a teacher, she teaches 2nd grade. The 15 year old is just a regular student, and the 18 year old is a secretary at some House Of Design, and she's also going to a Design School. Now that you have all your facts straight... Let's move on.
Hmm. Not much else going on really. I'm quite upset that I could've gone to the Øya-Festival after all. I haven't heard anything by Hot Snakes but that's the band I was dying to see before it was "confirmed" that I couldn't go. It seems that they're splitting up after this tour so that's extra sucky. Meh.
