I don't want to live my life in regret / Everyday is a learning experience
Oh, mittens.

I bought Pretty Girls Make Graves debut album Good Health last week, and I received it on Friday. I got The New Romance, their second album, for Christmas and I wanted to wait a bit until I got all the others (or the one other). It was a hard decision because i absolutely loved (and I still love it) The New Romance. Such a perfect album. Good Health is no worse. It was the first CD i fed to my Sony HD-5 (it's a bit harder to type than iPod, but other than that it's much better), and also the first I listened to on my Sony HD-5. From the first song, Speakers Push The Air, I just smiled from ear to ear jumping around the kitchen singing along and making myself breakfast (this is not something I usually do, but I was home alone that morning so...). I've written about Speakers Push The Air, and how much that song inspires me here http://karst1.blogspot.com/2004_11_01_karst1_archive.html (just scroll down to the post that says You Got To Have A Dream etc... Hmpf I was better at writing these damn posts before it seems).

Before if someone would've asked me what my favorite band is I would've replied "Umm, it changes so fast, I have new favorite bands all the time. So all I can do is name the bands I'm really into at the moment if that does it for you?". But now I can hands down say that Pretty Girls Make Graves is the best damn band in the whole wide world. If I'd gotten a notice from my doctor saying that I am to lose my hearing within a year I'd only listen to PGMG. They are the best band... ever. If you don't like them or haven't heard of them, just leave your name and adress in the comments and I'll stage an intervention as soon as possible. It will not be painful, it will be glorious.

Or you can just go to http://www.matadorrecords.com/music/mp3s.html and scroll down a bit until you find All Medicated Geniuses and download it. And also go to www.myspace.com/prettygirlsmake where you can listen to More Sweet Soul from their first album. Either way you can't go wrong.

I won't keep you anymore. Run along. Listen to Pretty Girls Make Graves. You haven't lived until you do.
