My mp3 player is here! I'm so happy! Happy makes me a modern guy.
To clarify: I don't have it right in front of me, but I got a text-message saying that it's down at the post-office waiting for me to pick it up as soon as my lunch-break starts. Result!
Let's see. What else is happenin' in the life of the K-dawg. I've been listening a lot to The Shins lately. I bought Oh, Inverted World! when I was at the Quart-festival. At first listen it wasn't all that great. It all sounded the same, and I thought "Why all the fuss about these guys?!", although Know Your Onion and Caring Is Creepy that I'd heard from before were as awesome as ever. A couple of days later when I sat down with dad's laptop I decided to give it another go. So I put it in the cd-drive, plugged in my headphones and enjoyed every second of it. I think what spoiled it for me the first time was that I listened to it on the stereo. Stereo = not so good for The Shins, Headset = Soooo good for The Shins. I am now a Shinian or whatever you fanboy/girls call yourselves.
I also saw Varsity Blues the other day. My ol' bro' recommended it to me some time ago, but I didn't really think it was all that. Some funny jokes, some cool tunes, but the story had too many holes in it. It needed some extra filling! As The Futurehizzles would've said it "You're story didn't do it for me". However, I totally goosebumped when My Hero was played. That was wicked-cool.
Nothing else happening. I'll be back later.
