If this is a test we're failing
Finally some time to write.

Well, I have had time, I've just used that time on other matters. For instance, today I shoveled snow. A lot of snow. And I also watched Store Studio(Tv-Show) which was quite interesting. They had this Australian author on who'd written a book on the Stasi-regime which intrigued me a bit. I don't know a whole lot about the Stasi, so I'm making a mental note to either borrow or buy this book. The author's name is Anna Funder and the book's called Stasiland(this is what it's called in Norwegian, but it could also be the original title) for those who are interested in checking her out.

On a different note: I got my Bloc Party - album on Friday, which I failed to mention in my last two emotion-riddled posts, and it kicks arse.
It's catchy, it's melodic, it's beautiful... What more could one ask for? I bought the Limited Etd. with a DVD that had four songs played live. The footage was very good, and it sounds great, so if you're planning on buying the album I suggest you put in a couple of extra dollars/pounds/yen/etc... because it's definitely worth it.
The weird thing about this album is that whenever I'll put it on in the future, I'll probably signify it with the happenings of last week. And I think that that will make this album very special to me. So Here We Are is my favourite track on the album so far, because that's the track that sums up the ambience I felt last week. It's one of the most sad and beautiful songs I've heard in ages.
Buy this album. Now.

While on the topic of music, I've heard a few tracks from Planes Mistaken From Stars' latest album Up In Them Guts, and they sounded quite good. I guess the vocals could put some off, but I think it's quite excellent music. I've only listened through their E-Card on their website about two times, but I'm already thinking of buying their record from NoIdeaRecords. I believe it's quite cheap to buy directly from this record-company, although the cheapest alternative makes it take about 6-8 weeks before it arrives.
They have cheap t-shirts there, so I'm also considering buying some Hot Water Music ones. I'd be such a poser if I did, seeing as I don't have any of their albums. Rawk.

At the moment I'm thinking about applying for a year of school in Russia. It's this offer that offers you the journey over to Russia, a place to stay and tuition... for FREE! I know it sounds crazy, but it's some kind of exchange-program that's been going on for some years(or at least I think it's been going on for some years) and the main-objective of this year in Russia is to learn the language and about the Russian culture. This could be just the thing I need.
The application-date is the first of March so I need to get movin' if I want a chance to get chosen. Let's cross our fingers.
The only thing I'm a bit concerned about is that I might not be able to come home for Christmas, or that my host-family might be dickheads. I don't know which would be worse.

I was thinking that I might go see either Donnie Darko(Director's Cut), Hellraiser or The Good, The Bad, And The Ugly, seeing as I've brought them home to watch. But it's getting a tad late, and I'm a tad tired so I'm guessing that it's bed-time for me.

Good night
